On Friday, May 23, 2025, in the “Osvaldo De Donato” Conference Hall at the Politecnico di Milano, Onyax took part in the event “Music and Acoustic Engineering Meets Companies” with a presentation highlighting the value of synergy between academic research and technological development.
Representing the company was CEO Gian Paolo Quarta, who met with students from the Music and Acoustic Engineering degree program to share Onyax’s vision on the digital transition of infrastructure systems and the role of innovation in industrial processes.
The EVALD Project
At the heart of the presentation was the EVALD project: a concrete example of how Artificial Intelligence can be applied to advanced monitoring solutions for water and gas networks. Through the use of electro-vibro-acoustic techniques, EVALD enables the detection of network leaks in a precise, efficient and predictive manner.
This research activity is the result of collaboration between Onyax and the ISPL team – Politecnico di Milano, under the supervision of Professor Marco Marcon, to whom we extend our deepest thanks for his continued support and for making this important moment of exchange possible.
Investing in future talent
The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the importance of continuous education and the direct involvement of students in innovation processes. At Onyax, we believe that young talent, supported by a dynamic and research-oriented environment, can actively contribute to transforming today’s technologies into sustainable solutions for the future.
Events like this offer a valuable platform to share our work and provide concrete opportunities such as academic collaborations, thesis projects and professional pathways.
